Gastroenterology Critical Care

Hepatology

Sentini Hospital provides critical care facilities in Hepatology, like the evaluation and management of fulminant hepatic failure, acute hepatitis, ascites, hepatorenal syndrome, hepatic encephalopathy, and hepatic dysfunction in sepsis etc.

We also provide medical guidance on prevention and management of gastroesophageal varices and variceal hemorrhage in cirrhosis. Oue team of experts are thoroughly updated on the current practice guidelines for the treatment of acute variceal hemorrhage, Hepatitis B & C & we have dedicated 8 beds for Gastroenterological Critical Care.

 

Pancreatitis

A dedicated team consisting of physicians, surgeons, radiologists & interventists are available for proper management of acute pancreatitis . numerous patients have been successfully treated with complications of acute pancreatitis including pseudocysts formation, abscesses, pancreatic necrosis, hemorrhage, venous thrombosis, and pseudoaneurysm formation.

Gastrointestinal Bleeding/Anemia

Potentially life-threatening abdominal emergency can be caused by acute gastrointestinal (GI) bleeding.

We deliver a the complete range of treatment solutions both – diagnostic and therapeutic until surgical intervention is needed. The management is based on emergency endoscopic treatment (sclerotherapy or band ligation), combination therapy (combining pharmacologic and endoscopic therapy), Variceal Banding and many others. Since angiographic techniques are a major help the expertise of an interventional radiologists is always available.
